Okay maybe the title is a little dramatic. But maybe not. These are actually called Peanut Butter No-Bakes. But I like my version better. They seriously are freaking delicious. But then again, what combination of peanut butter and chocolate isn't?

This was my go to treat for all the different events that I attended at the end of the year. Picnics, banquets, dinners, you name it- these babies made an appearance, and people like them so much, they started to request them.

Credit for this fabulous recipe has to be given to my recent roommate Michelle. I think she found it on Pinterest.

Now this could be the easiest recipe on the face of the planet. Since they are so delicious, I just like to pretend that I slaved for hours over a hot stove, harvested the peanuts, and walked 15 miles up hill both ways to transport the ingredients just to make it seem like some sort of achievement.

Now to the recipe!

1 cup (stick) butter melted
3 cups crushed graham crackers (2 sleeves from a box)
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter (once I ran out of creamy, and finished with chunky and it was fine!)
1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips

In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, confectioners’ sugar, and  peanut butter until well blended. Press evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13 inch pan. Melt the chocolate chips until smooth (I think the best way to do this is with a double boiler, I just put a bowl over boiling water. Spread over the peanut butter layer. Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting into squares. It is very important to refrigerate before you cut these, or else they will come out a gooey mess!

I hope you enjoy your freaking delicious peanut butter bars! These are sure to be a hit at any picnic or party, make sure to share!
