Norfolk, Virginia - Botanical Gardens

Since we have moved to Norfolk, we have been trying to see some of what the city has to offer. There have been a lot of summer festivals which we have enjoyed, a bunch of barbeques, and found out where our favorite bars and restaurants are...you know the important things. But we really wanted to start soaking up more of the attractions

So a couple of weekends ago, when my friend Al (I know!) asked if we wanted to go to the Botanical Gardens, we knew we should jump on that.

It was beautiful. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was huge. There were lots of different exhibits, like a butterfly garden, a colonial herb garden, an azalea garden- which is what this area is famous for apparently, and lots of other things. We took a tram tour, ate desserts, and took lots of pictures. Here are just a few highlights for your viewing pleasure.

And possibly my favorite picture of Dave and I that has ever been taken. If you haven't seen, it is all over my Facebook and Instagram. Thanks Al, for being the best photographer ever!
