BANANA BREAD OVERNIGHT OATS

One of my favorite breakfasts is overnight oats. They are quick and easy, and you can prepare them ahead of time for the week. I talked about how I prepare my overnight oats for the week, and shared a recipe for  PB&J oats.

I like experimenting with different breakfast flavors, and banana bread is one of my favorite breakfast foods. it was an obvious choice to be turned in to some overnight oats.

Banana Bread Overnight Oats (serves 1)
-1/2 c. steel cut oats
-1 tbsp flax
-1/2 banana
-1 tsp. vanilla
- a pinch or two of cinnamon
-1 c. soy or almond milk (I like my oats a little bit milky, so I include a teeny bit extra!)

Combine all ingredients, mix together well. Refrigerate over night. Best served cold.

I hope you enjoy this quick, healthy, delicious breakfast as much as I did!

  1. I've done overnight oats once or twice, but I need to get the habit more, since I eat oats for breakfast every day. I'll have to check out your other recipe! Thanks for sharing at Fridays Unfolded!

    1. Thank YOU for hosting! You have a great party and blog!

I talked about this in my recipe for the PBJ oats, but it is really easy to prep the oats for a whole week ahead of time. If you eat oats every day I highly suggest it!

      Thanks for visiting!

  5. This looks so yummy! I'll have to give it a try. I make my regular oatmeal with bananas, cinnamon and pecans, but have never tried the "overnight" variety. Thanks for sharing at my Creative Ways Link Party!

    1. I love your link party!

I find that the overnight oats are a little bit of a different consistency. And really, they are a little bit easier for me to put together in the mornings on my way out the door (I am NOT a morning person). You could probably make this recipe as regular oatmeal too, but I choose the overnight version simply because it is easier in the mornings.

      Thanks for visiting Nici!
