What a special weekend. Since Dave and I chose to stay in Norfolk for Thanksgiving and Christmas, we have been extremely fortunate to have our family be able to come visit us for the holidays. We enjoyed a quiet holiday, but this weekend my parents and little sister came to visit. We spent Friday night and Saturday morning in Richmond, Saturday afternoon in Williamsburg walking around the town and market, and then Sunday we were in Norfolk. We had a wonderful time full of laughing, eating, shopping and doing fun things together.
I am so glad that both of our families are willing and able to make the trip down to see us. It does get hard to take time off at the same time, and to get enough time to make a long road trip like that. When they visit, we just have to get the apartment clean!
On a side note, Caroline is such a grown up, sweet, funny little girl. She's in the third grade, and I have no idea when that happened. Last thing I knew, she was learning how to rollerblade.
Glad you guys had a great weekend with your family! Your sister is so cute! I love her shirt; think I need one in my size!

ReplyDeleteI love that we live somewhere that is still "new" to us, so we are all experiencing these things together. It is nice to do things like that.
