This problem has just been the bane of my existence over the past few months. I have been a moody, teary, chocolate craving bear. I feel so sorry for my poor fiance, because he has to bear the entire brunt of my craziness.

Poor thing. He smiles now... |
I'm talking about extreme PMS. This is such a weird subject to talk about, but I feel like some of you might be able to relate.
Lately I have really been struggling, and it feels like my PMS is constant. I have been overly sensitive, super cranky and generally irrational. The other night I absolutely bawled because I thought Dave called me stupid (he didn't) and then I thought that I was getting a bald spot (I'm not).
I don't know what's going on with me.
And just to set the record straight, I'm not pregnant. I'm just crazy. But I'm sorry if I have been absent for the past few days. Honestly it took all the energy I had last week to get through work, come home, eat and clean up from dinner. We did some home projects this weekend and I was straight up pooped.
Do any of you struggle with extreme PMS symptoms? Do you have any advice?
My advice (to myself, and any friends who find themselves in a funk) is pretty simple: drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest, and take a multivitamin. Our bodies go through a lot and they need all the support they can get! You'd be surprised at how, doing those things, your mood can improve in one day!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, work doesn't help make that any better lol
ReplyDeleteYes girl I know exactly what you mean! Evening primrose oil (specifically I purchased the brand efamol from a recommendation from a nutritionist friend) helped me a ton - and it's just good for you anyways because of all the omegas in itm
ReplyDeleteAwww I think we've all been there. Try to rest, maybe you are just exhausted <3 I hope you start feeling like your usual self soon. I hate that feeling
ReplyDeleteThat is the truth. I came down with a nasty cold this week (in combination with my pms. Thank you for the support!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of that, thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to check it out and let you know. Do you just rub it on somewhere, or incorporate it into your diet?
ReplyDeleteThanks Becca! I actually came down with a nasty cold almost immediately after I wrote this. Totally my body telling me to slow down and take better care of my self.
