The Loaded Lemonade Cocktail

For dinner before Dave and I went to see the Renee Fleming concert, we went out to eat at this little bar/bistro, which has great food (waffles!) and even better cocktails!

I ordered a lemonade cocktail, which was absolutely delicious. I'm not much of a drinker, but when I have a cocktail that I love, I  need to know how to make it. I played bartender a little bit on Saturday, and thus, the "Loaded Lemonade" cocktail was born.

This cocktail would be a perfect spring or summer drink, but if you ask me, it is good at any time of the year. It doesn't have any tropical flavors or anything, it just tastes like a delicious, grown up version of lemonade. Which I can totally get on board with after a long day at work, or on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

The Loaded Lemonade Cocktail

Ingredients
Juice from 1/2 Lemon
1 tsp. White Sugar
1.5 oz. Vodka
Splash Water
Ice Cubes
Seltzer Water

Instructions
1. Juice lemon, and strain the juice, so that no seeds or pulp make it into your drink.
2. Add sugar, vodka and a splash of water to the lemon juice. Make sure to mix, so that the sugar dissolves in the liquid.
3. Add a couple of ice cubes to your glass.
4. Fill the rest of the glass with seltzer.
5. Garnish with a twist, and enjoy your fresh cocktail!
