The Target Beauty Box

I have become addicted to subscription boxes.

Part of the problem is that I am addicted to online shopping. I love the excitement of seeing the package show up on your doorstep (or in my case, at my apartment or at my office), and then ripping open the millions of pounds of packaging to see what's inside.

When Target announced that they were releasing a new beauty box, and that it would only cost five dollars and have free shipping, I knew I had to buy it. I really didn't have a choice in the matter.

While this isn't quite a subscription box, because you don't commit to it, it is still an amazing idea. The Target Beauty Box is a curated collection of a couple of sample sized products. In my opinion it is well worth the cost, and there are lots of different products that I might not have otherwise purchased. The option of free shipping alone makes this product worth it. This particular box is a $38 value.

This box contains:

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray -retail $13.99
SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo - retail $9.89
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream for Eye -retail $17.09
TRESemme TRES Two Extra Hold Aerosol Hair Spray -retail $1.47
Maybelline Color Elixir By Color Sensational Lipcolor in the color Rose Redefined -retail $5.49

So far I am loving the L'Oreal Makeup Extender Spray. I've never used an extender spray before, which is basically a sin, but now my world has been opened. I've used the TRESemme Hairspray in the past and sort of like it, but it is the perfect size to keep in your purse for touch ups.

I also kind of love the color of this Maybelline lip gloss. It's the perfect light pink for spring, and it isn't too opaque. Just a nice hint of color. My only reservation with this is that it is a little bit sticky for my liking.

I am most excited to try the SheaMoisture Shampoo. I have a hard time keeping my hair moisturized, but not too greasy. This has tons of vitamins in it, and it's infused with biotin. Pretty much ever since I got my hair cut, I've been taking hair, skin and nails vitamins to get my hair to grow. If this can help make it grow long and keep it strong...let's do it baby.

I don't know if I'll try the Nutrogena cream or not. It is for dry skin, and I just don't have that. We will see. Maybe I'll pass it on to someone.

I am so sad that these are already sold out. I just can't say enough about the Target Beauty Boxes. Not all of them are $5, but they are worth every penny, my friends.

As soon as I hear about the next one, I am going to be placing my order, and you should too. Even if you don't like every single product (I'm not going to use every one in mine, here!), you are still getting more than your money's worth. Target is definitely stepping in to the "subscription" box game.

Have you ever tried a Target Beauty Box? Would you purchase one in the future?

  5. What?! Is the Walmart one nice/do you actually subscribe? From the looks of things, the Target ones are all over the map in terms of price and value.
