June Beauty Empties

I know what you're thinking. June? I've had these sitting in my room for a little bit, alright. Cut a lazy girl some slack. But really, I've had these empties sitting around since the end of June. Which is simultaneously disgusting, lazy and just ridiculous of me all at the same time. But I'm finally getting around to writing this post, so I forgive myself.

I have this weird fascination with knowing what products people are using. I love finding out what "holy grail" products people have, and thing it's so interesting that they are different for everyone. I haven't really found my holy grails yet, but I feel like I'm on the right track with some of them. In the meantime, I'm just going to keep going to try products out until I find the right fit.

So anywho, here is what I used up in the month of June...

Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelette in Pink Grapefruit- I love these facial wipes. I use them to cleanse my face if I am in a rush, or I forget to take my makeup off at night. They are perfect for my combination skin, which is leaning more toward oily in these hot summer months. The grapefruit smells great, and they are gentle.

Batiste Hint of Color Dry Shampoo in Deep and Dark Brown- I talked about these last week when I talked about growing out my hair, but this is one of the closest things I have to a holy grail hair product. I buy this over and over again. I've found that the only place close to me that carries this is Rite Aid, though I just found out that Ulta carries a light brown option that I might have to try!

L'Oreal Brow Stylist Sculptor- I didn't actually finish this product, but I set it aside because I stopped really liking it. I didn't love that I would have to continuously sharpen the pencil to get a good point to help fill in my eyebrows, and the color wasn't really a good fit for me. With only one "brunette" option, I wasn't really impressed.

Tresseme Tres Two Extra Firm Control Hair Spray- I got this in my Target Beauty Box, and I have been carrying it in my work bag. It was the perfect size for on the go touch ups, and I love the extra firm hold.

Rimmel London ScandalEyes Thick and Thin Liner- I actually purchased this product again when I finished it. It was pretty inexpensive, and I love the "marker" feel of this eyeliner. The chisel tip makes it really easy to make a nice, straight line on your lid to your desired thickness. I love Rimmel products, so I wasn't surprised that I liked this one!

L'Oreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray- I was using this for a while as a heat protect spray. It works alright, but I'm not in love with it. Be careful not to spray too much into wet hair, as it will leave hair with an oily consistency. I am switching this out with Tresemme's Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray

What products are you using and loving lately?

  1. I love he color spray by L'Oreal! I use it pretty much every time I color my hair! I also use the thermal creations heat spray by Tressemme and it's probably one of my favorite products EVER. I'm not sure what I'd do if they discontinued it haha

  2. I didn't know Batiste made a dry shampoo for light brown hair! I've seen the dark, but not that one. I definitely need to buy that, because I love Batiste but I don't love white residue in my hair.
