My Crazy Holiday Life

Hi Friends! It has been a busy, busy week since I last saw (?) you guys. I know I promised a weekend recap, but the week has completely gotten away from me. Between getting out of work in the darkness (thanks daylight savings…), and all the busyness of the Holiday season, this week is kicking my butt, but I am enjoying it.

Last weekend, we did our two ugly sweater parties. These photos are from only one of them, but it was SO fun. We ate our faces off, learned some dance moves, and played cards against humanity. At the party on Sunday night, we won third prize for best ugly sweaters, and played a vicious round of dirty Santa. I came out with some funny post-its, and my planning/organizing heart couldn’t have been happier.

I’ve been doing a lot of baking and treat making lately, and if you follow me on Instagram (which you totally should, because you get to see all the cool, fun, funny, and amazing things I do… just kidding, it is mostly food, and Dave’s face), you will see the pretty Oreo Truffles that I made for one of the parties this weekend. I made four dozen, and they were gone before the party was over. We saw this giant mixer outside in downtown Norfolk the other day, and I feel like I need it to make all the delicious things I want to make. #cookinggoals

I got the last gift for my family last night, and I am just about ready to send them off in the mail! There are still a few things to get for Dave’s family, and then I need Dave’s main present still. Don’t tell him! I started pretty early with shopping, and have done most of it online to stay out of the stores and traffic. In my opinion, this was so much easier, and I think I probably saved some money by not being near the “sales.”

Finally, we ordered our first official Christmas cards on Monday! I am a huge slacker, and suck at doing things in a timely manner, so I had to pay a ton in shipping, but these actually just came in today, and they are beautiful! I ordered them through Vistaprint, since that is where we got our Save the Dates printed, and I can’t recommend them enough. I used a 50% off coupon code, and it was awesome. I love that they walk you through your ordering process step by step. I will have to give you guys a little more of a look later!

How is your Holiday Season going? Busy? Have you gotten all of your shopping done?
