11 MORE Fun Fall Date Ideas

It's starting to feel like fall around these parts, and it is one of the most romantic seasons in my opinion. Last year I made a list of 11 Fun Fall Date Ideas, and this year I am back with 11 more!

Dave and I have made it a priority during this busy time in our lives to dedicate one time per week to a date night. Usually this is Wednesdays, but sometimes we take a weekend day too. Having a dedicated night to look forward to in the middle of the hustle and bustle has been so refreshing. I am always so excited to go on a date with my husband!

Here are some of the things that we have either done in the past, or want to do this year. Personally, I can't wait for some Harry Potter and pumpkin beer. :)

-Go to the Zoo. I think that the fall is the best time to go to the zoo. It isn’t too hot, and the animals seem to be a little bit more active. Plus, since there zoos always have such nice landscaping, you can enjoy the seasonal change in person.

-Have a pumpkin beer taste test. I actually got this idea from Lindsay. Buy a mixed six pack of different pumpkin brews, and see which one is your favorite! So many breweries release seasonal pumpkin beers and Oktoberfests, and you have many options to choose from!

-Sample all the fall favorites at Starbucks. I am a total Starbucks nut, and can’t wait for the different drinks that come out each season. My favorite fall drink is the salted caramel mocha, but I do love a good PSL too!

-Go to a Flea Market. One of the things Dave and I do almost every weekend is thrift. Even if we don’t buy anything about 75% of the time, it is still fun to look around at all the treasures. While I love to thrift and visit flea markets in the summer, fall is best so that you don’t sweat your buns off in the heat!

-Try out a new recipe together. Dave is the top chef in this family, but we always have a lot of fun cooking together. It is always fun for us to try new recipes and then enjoy the fruits of our labor! Try making something that reflects the season – such as chili and cornbread, or a pumpkin dessert!

-Harry Potter everything. This series is one of my favorites, and so much can be done with it! While Harry Potter isn’t exactly “seasonal,” there is no better time to explore the world of witches and wizards than the fall! Have a movie marathon, try out some Hogwarts themed recipes and cocktails, or do a fun DIY. The options are endless!

-DIY something for your home. Whether you share a home or you live separately, it is always fun to make a craft for your living space. Carve some pumpkins, put a wreath together, or make some fall-themed signage. You will have fun making something together, and can enjoy it when it is displayed in your living space.

-Scary movie marathon. Dave and I used to watch a ton of scary movies together when we were in high school, but later realized that neither of us particularly liked them… we just liked snuggling together in fear. But now we have gotten in to the classic scary movies, and enjoy watching those together. Pick something that you haven’t seen before, and watch it together!

-Bookstore date. This might sound appealing to me because I am a bookworm. Dave and I regularly go into Barnes and Noble and other bookstores to wander around. We each have vastly different tastes in books, but that makes it more interesting! With the back to school season, it is a great time to visit a bookstore. I also recommend grabbing your favorite fall beverage to take with you!

-Go apple picking. This is one of those activities that you just have to do once a year. Go take a nice walk around the orchard, pick some fresh fruit, and sample the cider!

-Have a bonfire. The days might be warm, but the nights sure get chilly in the fall! Snuggle up to your honey and enjoy the last few days of hanging out outside. Make some s’mores, share a blanket, steal a kiss, and you have the perfect romantic moment.

Let me know if you try any of these, or if you have any other ideas for fun date nights!
