Mini Mummies - An Easy Halloween Snack

Does anyone else feel like there is pressure to be the person who loves fall the most? To be the one who is the most glad to live in a world where there are Octobers? I feel it.

That doesn't mean that I'm immune to it though. I was thiiiiis close to decorating my office for fall. If you follow me on snapchat, you might have seen that I put one small "happy halloween" print up. I really had to restrain myself from going all out though, and there may have been some other things printed and sitting on my shelf.

One of my favorite parts of fall are the get-togethers. Whether it is a Halloween party, or a pumpkin carving party, or a fall festival, I love to hang out with friends, drink a pumpkin beer, and eat some fall treats. Of course there is a huge apple / pumpkin spice presence at these gatherings, so I always like to go for something else.

I whipped these little mummies up last year for a fall party that we attended as guests. It was potluck style, so I thought it would be a nice appetizer snack. Everyone loves pigs in a blanket right? This is honestly one of the easiest things you can make, and takes basically no time at all.

Ingredients:
-1 package Little Smokies cocktail links
-1 container crescent roll dough
-Dipping sauce at your preference. I served this with BBQ sauce and spicy mustard

Directions:
-Lay out the crescent roll dough so that it is flat. Cut it into thin strips (1/2 to 1/4 of an inch)
-Wrap small strips of dough around the little smokies, so that they look like mummies.
-Bake according to the directions on the crescent roll dough.
-Serve warm with dipping sauce on the side.

Possibly the easiest snack to make ever. I'm sure you could get much fancier with this, but I think people liked them as is. I made them after work, and they were ready to go to the party.

Do you have any easy, quick snacks that are your go-to for a fall party?
