I have to admit. I am someone who sometimes forgets to take their makeup off at night. I know... it's horrible and gross, and I always regret it in the morning.
When I turned the ripe old age of 26, I started to notice that my skin was acting differently with certain products. I used to be much more reactive when using skin care products and would put harsh acne cream on my skin when I got pimples.
This past year I have been trying to get out of my lazy skin care habits and be more proactive in taking care of my skin. I find that my face especially does better with fewer products, but ones that work well.
These are the products that have been my go-to in the last few months. I think this regimen is working well, and don't plan to change it anytime soon!
Clarisonic Mia 2 Skin Cleansing Brush - Dave got me a Clarisonic for my birthday last year, and it is a Game. Changer. My skin has never looked better, and I love the clean feeling that you get after washing your face with one of these brushes. I typically use this in the shower, as I find it is less messy.
Clarisonic Delicate Brush Head - I've tried a few different brushes on my Clarisonic, but the Delicate Brush is my favorite. If the brush is too stiff or marked as "exfoliating," it can be too rough on my skin. Never before did I think that I had sensitive skin until using a Clarisonic!
Biore Baking Soda Liquid Pore Cleanser - I am a big fan of cleansers with charcoal in them, but I wanted to give this baking soda cleanser a try. This summer I was having some very oily skin in my t-zone, and this seemed to clear it right up. This cleanser doesn't get extremely foamy, but the texture is still nice.
Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum - I've never actually used a product with retinol before, and don't really use many different types of serum. I never thought I needed it. Well, when Valentia reached out and asked me to try their Night Revive Retinol Serum, I thought well... what the heck, why not. I started off putting too much on my skin, which left it just kind of meh. I wasn't getting the results I hoped for. But after scaling back a bit and using it for a couple of weeks, I started to notice that my skin was looking more "alive" if that makes sense. My skin tone was improved and looked much healthier. The Night Revive Retinol Serum is packed with natural ingredients and vitamins, that promote anti-aging and healthy skin.

Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer - I wrote about this Valentia Moisturizer last month and talked about how light it was. Because it is so light and I just generally like it, I've been using it at night, too. I love this stuff. I love how it feels and smells, and love how much it brightens my skin. Valentia makes some good products.
Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm - Over the past few weeks I've had ridiculously horrible chapped lips. I mean it was so bad that the skin was flaking off. In between lip scrubs, Blistex and plain old Vaseline, I was trying everything. I bought this lip balm on a whim, and it is really awesome to wear at night. It doesn't make your lips feel like they have a ton of product caked on, but also helps smooth and heal them. The one downside is that it smells strongly of coconut, and Dave hates it.
